Cultural heritage is the heritage of tangible and intangible heritage assets of a group or society that is inherited from past generations. ALTOR works across four work streams of sector.
Country Estates
An English country house is a large house or mansion in the English countryside. Such houses were often owned by individuals who also owned a town house This allowed them to spend time in the country and in the city. Now many of these are open to the public where vulnerability, threat and risk is increased due to their isolation.
Museums
With many of the National Museums protected by layers of strategic, tactical and operational security management. ALTOR can provide a range of services and products to any independent museum or private collection. Independent museums are still if not more vulnerable to attack.
Art Galleries
Similarly to Museums many National Galleries are protected by layers of strategic, tactical and operational security management. ALTOR provides a range of services to any independent gallery or private collection, again Independent and private galleries are vulnerable to attack.
Visitor Attractions
More visitor attractions are growing from single properties such as country houses or castles and are diversifying into safari parks and theme parks and immersive projects. As general footfall, vehicular traffic, staff and assets grow with such sites so does the vulnerability threat and risk which must be addressed.
